The History
Les “The Les” Del Rosario is no stranger to the bay area dj game. For over a decade, Les has spent most of his evenings mixing and scratching records all over Northern California.
The San Francisco born native got his start playing in front of audiences with mobile dj group Club 5 Entertainment. At the tender age of 15, he was given the opportunity to do a guest spot on Wild 94.9’s Miki Fiki holiday mix. That big break opened the door for Les to eventually become a full-time Wildstyle DJ rocking the airwaves every Friday and Saturday Night.
During his tenure on the radio, Les began to receive opportunities to DJ in the nightclub circuit all over the bay area. In 2007, The Les, along with his 600 inc counterparts released one of the most talked about local mixtapes in recent memory, The Beautiful Hustle. The buzz continued to generate as more and more people started to pay attention to his melodic style and DJ abilities. In 2009, Les co-founded the Hometown Heroes, an event promotions group that works with San Francisco’s premiere venues, dj’s and artists. In 2010, Les made his return to the radio after being away over half a decade. You can catch him in the mix every Friday on 99.7 FM (SF) for the Friday Nite Mix.
The Les continues to earn the respect from his peers and party people whenever he lays hands on the turntables. Being billed with renowned club rockers such as DJ Vice, Scotty Boy, Quest Love, Alchemist, Fashen, Scooter, Triple Threat, E Rock, J Espinosa, Urfriends and The Fingerbangerz, it’s clear he has been surrounded amongst great company and great inspiration. Les has also shared the main stage with prominent acts such as Kid Cudi, The Black Eyed Peas, Mos Def, Jermaine Dupri, The Roots, Goapele, 112, and The Clipse just to name a few. Recently, the SF born native added a visual perspective to his live sets by mixing music videos and incorporating digital controllers to showcase an innovative art to the nightlife industry. His well rounded ability to mix, scratch, throw successful parties, and produce original remixes is what makes The Les one of the premiere DJ’s in the entertainment industry today.
